Ava is a doctoral psychology student at Adler University who has a passion for exploring the complexity of the human experience. Ava is excited to be providing psychological testing to children of all ages, and adults at Rooted Connections. Ava believes that psychology is a creative field where helping professionals can work in tandem with clients to uncover and sculpt their beautiful and intricate inner and outer worlds. At Rooted Connections, Ava strives to apply the theories and training Adler provides her towards understanding clients and growing as a future clinician. Ava is excited to be able to provide clients with clarity so that they can make informed decisions about their needs and understand how Rooted Connections can help them.
Psychology is one of many passions of Ava’s that reflects a desire for lifelong learning in complex and creative spaces. Within psychology, Ava’s interests include learning techniques and theories of psychotherapy and diagnosis such as humanistic, holistic, psychodynamic, and family systems theories. Ava has also worked professionally with psychiatrists to utilize innovative and modern methods to treat depression such as transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and Ketamine therapy.
Along with psychology, Ava’s interests include studio art, especially oil painting and representing the human figure on a canvas. Ava also loves to cook and bake, especially when she can share what she makes with people in her life. Ava’s favorite past times include rock climbing, hiking, and watching TV shows like Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Parks and Recreation.
