Fatima Hashmi is a certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor who brings a wealth of training, experiences, and education to her clinical work.
Fatima’s aim in a clinical setting is to use a decolonizing narrative and empower those belonging to diverse communities– who are finding their avenue of advocacy. She utilizes a culturally sensitive and trauma-informed approach to therapy, while also incorporating a relational/attachment lens. She believes that each client has their own story that requires specific care and attention, as each individual’s perspective on their lived experience is unique to them. She works with her clients to provide a safe space in order for them to begin their healing, which can feel especially challenging for those belonging to marginalized communities.
