Jaime Langosch is currently a second-year student at The Chicago School and a Doctoral Psychology Extern at Rooted Connections Counseling. Her orientation aligns with dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) when working with children and adolescents and thrives in promoting children’s development of executive functioning skills through a respectful, playful, joyful, and engaging process. Her work primarily focuses on children and adolescents with anxiety, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and autism.
She received her bachelor’s degree in biology and a second in psychology from the University of Iowa. She then received her master’s in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling from Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois. She became a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2021 and has worked in various settings including private practice, high schools, and therapeutic schools. Jaime also taught as an adjunct at Aurora University for classes in the psychology department, teaching introductory courses on behavior and autism.
In her free time, Jaime enjoys any sort of activity outside alongside her significant other; walks, grilling, hiking, bonfires, and growing vegetables and herbs in the garden.
