Kimberly Nguyen, M.A. (she/her/hers)

Kimberly is passionate about providing service to vulnerable, disadvantaged, and marginalized populations. Her approach to therapy is based on an integrative modality, emphasizing CBT, DBT, and systems theories. Kimberly prioritizes a culturally sensitive and strengths-based foundation and believes in collaborating with the client. As a proud BIPOC and first-generation Vietnamese American grad student, she enjoys working with all individuals regardless of their identity. Kimberly places a high value on providing a reflective, empathetic, and safe space for all her clients.

Kimberly has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults within hospitals, private practice, and community mental health settings. She has led various groups related to mood, anxiety, and eating problems in numerous partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient programs (IOP). Kimberly’s clinical interests include working with individuals and families with histories of acute to complex trauma, and with presenting problems such as mood and/or anxiety-related difficulties, eating disordered behaviors, emotional dysregulation, identity development, LGBTQIA+ challenges, and sexual violence intervention and prevention.

Kimberly is currently a 4th-year doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Kimberly earned her B.S. in Applied Psychology at The University of Michigan-Flint in 2019 and her M.A. in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2021.

Services Kimberly provides:

• Therapy with adults

*As a psychology extern, Kimberly provides services on a sliding fee scale for clients who are not in network with BCBS PPO
