Michelle is a 4th year doctoral student pursuing her PsyD in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, where she also earned her Master’s in Clinical Psychology. Before attending The Chicago School, Michelle earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where her passion for working with children and adolescents began. Michelle has worked with children and adolescents for the past 6 years in various settings including a residential treatment center, behavioral health clinic, psychiatric hospital, and therapeutic day school. While working with clients, especially those who have experienced traumatic events, Michelle provides a calm, therapeutic presence that allows clients to feel safe sharing their experiences. She believes each client is the best expert of themselves and has the strengths and resources to change. Michelle strives to create a strong therapeutic connection with children and their families through providing empathy and understanding. Her clinical interests include trauma, family dynamics, communication skills, relationship building, depression, and anxiety. In her free time, Michelle enjoys reading, being outside, enjoying a good cup of coffee, and spending time with her family and friends.
