Samantha strives to create a welcoming, safe therapeutic environment where clients can express their personal thoughts and experiences without fear of judgment. She is a therapist who really wants to understand her clients’ thoughts and will engage with her clients with curiosity and attunement to their experience. It is important to her that clients feel seen, understood, and secure in the therapy room. She believes in the healing power of authenticity and relational connection.

Samantha works with people of all ages experiencing intra- and inter-personal conflicts. She strives to support self-understanding and life satisfaction. Samantha also enjoys supporting those who are navigating life transitions such school/educational changes, adjusting to adulthood or parenthood, and to retirement and beyond. Samantha enjoys working with clients from diverse backgrounds, especially those who have experienced trauma throughout any phase of their life. She values individuals who engage in service to the public and our country and enjoys working with first responders and military service members. Samantha also supports individuals with issues related to aging and later life transitions.

Samantha has her Master’s Degree in Counseling from The Chicago School Of Professional Psychology and is currently pursuing her Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology at the same institution, in her fourth year of training. She has worked with clients in a variety of settings including residential, forensic, inpatient, and community mental health. She also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreational Therapy and has worked with people with developmental disabilities and autism.

Samantha values affirming all client identities and finds understanding cultural factors to be crucial to the therapeutic process. She has lived abroad in both Europe and Asia and values the time spent there learning priceless life lessons. She also has a rescue dog who brings joy to everyone he meets and who may make an appearance in (online)

*As a psychology extern, Samantha provides services on a sliding fee scale for clients who are not in network with BCBS PPO
