Rooted Connections means supporting the future by supporting children and families through their challenges.
Jenna Einhorn, B.A. (she/her/hers)

Jenna is a second-year Master of Social Work student at the University of Chicago. She received her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University with majors in psychology and global health. Jenna has experience in school and camp settings, where she has worked with children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, difficulties with emotional regulation, and challenges in peer and family relationships. She has also worked closely with youth who have serious medical conditions and their families, which has deepened her understanding of grief, trauma, and resilience. She strives to help young people better understand themselves, strengthen their coping skills, and build confidence as they move through different stages of development.

Jenna believes meaningful change begins with feeling understood and accepted. She focuses on creating a welcoming environment where clients can express themselves openly and develop trust at their own pace. Her approach is collaborative and strengths-based, and she often integrates humor when appropriate to help build connection and ease anxiety in the therapeutic space. She recognizes that every young person brings a unique set of experiences into therapy, and she works to individualize treatment, helping clients build practical skills for managing emotions, navigating relationships, and handling life’s stressors. She also values partnering with parents and caregivers to support her clients’ growth both within and beyond the therapy room.

Jenna’s background working with youth across a variety of settings has shown her the importance of flexibility, patience, and genuine connection. She aims to bring warmth and authenticity to her work, helping clients feel comfortable being themselves as they explore new ways to cope, grow, and overcome obstacles. She is especially passionate about helping young people recognize their strengths and develop a stronger sense of confidence in themselves. She brings calmness and consistency into the therapy space, helping clients stay engaged even when things feel difficult. She takes care to understand each client’s individual story and meets them with empathy, curiosity, and respect.
