I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker passionate about providing a supportive, empathetic space for those I work with. I have five years of experience working in community mental health, including residential treatment, where I became passionate about serving those associated with the child welfare system, those formerly incarcerated and individuals across socio-economic statuses. Through this work I have helped individuals with a variety of concerns including chronic mental illness, issues related to the criminal justice system, issues related to child welfare involvement, emotional, physical and sexual abuse, and traumatic events. I am passionate about providing trauma informed services and I am certified in Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I am also certified in Triple P (Positive Parenting Program).
I value collaboration and client centered care. I believe in community-based treatment and I work hard to assist my clients in reaching their treatment and life goals. I believe in meeting my clients where they are, and I work to provide a safe space to explore struggles, discover strengths, and guide in self-discovery and personal growth
After graduating with my Bachelors of Science in biology from Beloit College in 2015, I completed two AmeriCorps service years that solidified my desire to help others. As a result, I obtained my Master of Social Work from UIC’s Jane Addams College of Social Work in 2019.
In my free time I love to read, tend to my plants, spend time with my two cats and binge watch all Bravo reality TV shows.
