Dr. Alexandra Coleman (she/her/hers)

My approach to clinical services is client-centered and collaborative. I see the therapeutic process as an opportunity for me to help clients advocate for themselves within their families, schools, and communities. I would describe my style as warm, friendly, and bold. Children and families can expect for me to be well-attuned to their needs throughout the assessment process.

I have expertise working as a member of a treatment team for children and adolescents, and adults with a variety of emotional and behavioral concerns. I am committed to serving diverse individuals as well as working closely with families, schools, and other important relational connections as necessary. I earned my Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I completed my B.A. in Psychology and French at Williams College, a small liberal arts school in Williamstown, M.A. I earned her M.A. in General Psychology with Honors from the City College of New York (Colin Powell School of Civic and Global Leadership). Over the past 10 years, I have worked in clinical research, schools, day and residential treatment, community mental health, and outpatient pediatric settings. I have training in Dialectical and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (DBT and CBT), Parent-Child Interaction Training (PCIT), and I am certified in Trauma Focused Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and the Autism Diagnosic Observation Schedule (ADOS-II).

I provide psychological assessment services only at this time. Issues I treat include ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, anxiety and mood disorders, and traumatic stress.
