Emma Wondra (she/her/hers)

As a Doctoral student at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, I am deeply passionate about understanding the human mind and helping others navigate the ups and downs of life. My journey in psychology began with my love for theatre. Delving into the inner worlds of individuals has always been a source of joy and inspiration for me, as I find immense value in comprehending the intricate connections between their emotions, motivations, and subsequent actions, be it within the realm of storytelling or in the context of their real lives. This deep-seated curiosity accompanies me into my clinical work, as I firmly believe that gaining a comprehensive understanding of my client’s experience is essential when looking to provide effective and empathetic care.

Before attending The Chicago School, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Theatre from the University of Wisconsin Madison. I then had the privilege of working with children and adolescents in residential treatment, where I gained invaluable experience in supporting young individuals facing various mental health challenges. In addition to my clinical work, I have over 10 years of experience working with children in different contexts outside the mental health realm.

Outside of my academic pursuits, you can find me biking around the city, going on long walks, immersing myself in a good book, or spending quality time with my loved ones. I enjoy cooking and eating good food, practicing yoga, and playing volleyball.
