Jaclyn Psenka, M.A. (she/her/hers)

Jackie is a 4th year doctoral student pursuing her PsyD in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psycology. Jackie believes each individual has strengths that guide the therapeutic process. She values shared power in sessions and aims to nurture an environment of safety, trust, and advocacy. She aims to uphold the relationship between the client as therapist as the vessel for positive change. Jackie has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in multifarious settings including a behavioral health hospital, community mental health centers, and outpatient treatment centers. In these settings she has worked with individuals who have experienced interpersonal trauma. Due to the role of systems in the healing process, she aims to conceptualize treatment holistically and build skills with clients to recognize barriers and supports within their environments. Her clinical interests include trauma, depression, anxiety, mood and personality disorders, as well as community healing, family dynamics, and relationship building.

In her free time, Jackie loves being active with friends and participating in sports. As a result, she is a team player by nature and believes teamwork is the key to great therapeutic relationships. She is also enjoys being creative with different arts and crafts which she always loves to integrate into her therapeutic work.
