Lexi Cohen is a PsyD student in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School. She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Southern California with a major in Communications and a minor in Psychology. She has worked with children and adolescents and has focused on supporting individuals with learning, attention, emotional, and behavioral concerns. She is passionate about supporting family systems and fostering individual strengths. She creates a safe, warm, and supportive testing environments where children and their support systems feel empowered. She looks forward to working with families to find the right resources and supports that can help children thrive in their environments.

She approaches assessment with a genuine curiosity and desire to understand not only scores on a page, but the whole context of who a person is. She believes that no behaviors or experiences exist in a vacuum, but rather are shaped by our environments and systems, and therefore work hard to conceptualize a person in their entirety, including their family units. Looking at systems connects with my desire to work with children, as more than most, they are heavily influenced and guided by the systems around them. Her approach focuses on creating spaces where children feel supported and valued, and families feel heard and included throughout the testing process. She strives to provide meaningful insights as well as relevant and realistic resources to help children grow and thrive within their systems.

Lexi approaches assessment with deep curiosity and compassion, looking to identify not only areas of difficulty but also areas of strength. I aim to look beyond labels and provide deeper understandings behind behaviors, emotions, and experiences for both child and family alike. What currently sets Lexi apart is her eagerness to learn deeply and holistically about those she works with and to foster strong relationships within the testing space.
