Mackenzie is a doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology at Adler University, where she also earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology. She has experience providing individual therapy to children, adolescents, and adults across a range of clinical settings, including outpatient private practice, therapeutic day schools, and inpatient psychiatric hospitals.
Mackenzie has a special interest in supporting individuals with unique and complex developmental histories, including those related to neurodivergence and early life adversity. She is passionate about helping clients better understand their unique ways of thinking, processing, and relating to others, while cultivating self-compassion and confidence. Her work often includes supporting clients and their families in developing practical strategies that promote emotional regulation, communication, and executive functioning skills.
Drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based practices, Mackenzie tailors treatment to the specific needs, goals, and identities of each client. She approaches therapy with warmth, curiosity, and cultural humility, valuing the therapeutic relationship as a space for empowerment, insight, and meaningful change.
Her clinical interests include neurodevelopmental differences, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, family dynamics, and identity development. Mackenzie believes in meeting clients where they are while encouraging growth through reflective dialogue, skill-building, and collaboration.
