Morgan Clausen is an Intake Coordinator & Clinical Intake Therapist at Rooted Connections Counseling. She is passionate about supporting clients as they navigate the process of finding a therapist who is the perfect fit for them. Morgan is the first point of contact for new clients seeking therapy services. She has a warm, nonjudgmental, and compassionate style of interacting with new clients, and uses culturally-responsive and trauma-informed practices to best understand each client’s individual and unique treatment needs.

Morgan has her Master’s Degree in Education from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and is currently pursuing her Doctoral Degree in School Psychology at the same institution, in her third year of training. Along with this, she has worked with clients in a variety of settings including private practices, schools, neuropsychology research labs, and community mental health centers. She also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Experimental Psychology from the University of South Carolina.

In her personal life, Morgan enjoys meeting new people and exploring new places. Her hobbies include traveling, SCUBA diving, skiing, and going to Kansas City Chiefs football games. She also enjoys spending time with her golden retriever, Chief, who is a therapy dog in training. He is a gentle giant with a calming presence who loves to be around humans. Morgan is looking forward to learning more about canine assisted therapy as she continues her education and training.
